Fender Japanese 'Foto-Flame' Strat

"Xerox"

Take a well made Japanese Strat (made at FujiGen Gakki, no less) and stick a photocopy of some flamed maple onto the top. Seriously? Apparently so. An actual photograph of some nice wood stuck to the top, then lacquered over. Mine looked ok (I've used a stock photo), with a nice trans wine red finish. Unfortunately, because it was a trans finish, you could see the dumb photo-wood. Whoever decided at Fender that Foto-Flame was a good idea should have been bitch-slapped.

The neck on this thing was nice ... very chubby indeed. However, you remember what I said above, about not really liking strats? It turns out that I really didn't. Part exchanged for the Hamer Diabolo above. A good trade.
