2005 Charvel San Dimas Reissue

"Lenny"

#6289

This is the slightly younger brother of "Enzo", and is (lets face it) pretty much the same guitar. The differences (apart from the aesthetics) are the rosewood board (which feels more slinky than Enzo's unfinished maple) and the aftermarket pickups (all Seymour Duncans ... a JB TB-4, a cool-rails and a hot-rails), and the fact that this is in GREAT condition, which "Enzo" certainly isnt.

The 2005 & 2006 reissue series (with 6XXX serial numbers) were prone to the laquer delaminating on the headstock (it happened to Enzo), but this one is pristine ... no signs of any delamination at all, which is nice.  The condition is generally fantastic, with only a few little micro-blems ... certainly nothing to stress about. This PLAYS beautifully, as you'd expect from a CS Charvel. The neck is slinky and thin (a solid thin-C) with lovely rolled board edges and immaculate fretwork. The pickups are punchy and toneful, I'm especially impressed with the hot-rails and cool-rails combination ... but you know the deal ... you play this with the bridge humbucker wide open, right? I know. Its just as well that it sounds killer on the bridge hum. A great guitar.
